Bio

Matthew Félix is the author of four books, a certified Human Potential Life Coach, and a speaker. He also edits, publishes, ghost-writes, and markets books for other authors and has produced and hosted multiple podcasts, including the San Francisco Writers Conference Podcast.

Matthew is a member of the San Francisco Writers Grotto, a founding member of Page Street community of writers, a member of Lit Camp’s conference faculty, and two-time host of the Bay Area Book Festival green room. He regularly speaks and conducts interviews at literary and cultural organizations.

Publishers Weekly’s BookLife Prize called Matthew’s debut novel, A Voice Beyond Reason, “(a) highly crafted gem.” Matthew’s With Open Arms won four Solas Awards, was an Amazon Hot New Release, and topped its Africa category. Matthew’s third book, Porcelain Travels, won Gold for Humor in the Readers’ Favorite Awards and was a Foreword INDIES Book of the Year finalist.

Matthew is currently seeking representation for his forthcoming book, a work of narrative nonfiction about how opening to his inner voice helped unlock deeper truths leading to an authentic life. Excerpts have been recognized in the Soul-Making Keats Literary Competition and the Solas Awards, including the $750 Grand Prize for Story of the Year.
